Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh stated that the desire to achieve peace alone is not enough, but must be coupled with actions, a press release was issued by his office. According to WAFA, he said that the facts imposed on the ground indicate Israel's determination to carry on with its current settlement policy, particularly in East Jerusalem. Abu Rudeineh said that an immediate and complete halt of all settlement activities, the dismantle of all settlements, and the recognition of the two-state solution based on 1967 borders and resolutions of the international legitimacy are required to make the Palestinian leadership ready to resume negotiations and achieve a just and lasting peace.
