The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at his palace in Riyadh today the Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova and the accompanying delegation comprising an elite of ambassadors to the UN educational, scientific and cultural organization representing Palestine, Germany, Brazil, Poland, France and Zimbabwe. During the audience, the Director General of UNESCO decorated the monarch with the UNESCO golden medal, the organization's most prestigious award, in recognition of his efforts in enhancing the culture of dialogue and peace and as a praise of his numerous initiatives of holding international conferences and meetings in a number of world capitals and international organizations in this regard. She expressed appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques efforts in support of UNESCO activities as well. For his part, the monarch thanked the UNESCO head and her crew for their good feelings, wishing the UNESCO more success in taking care of education, culture and science in the entire world. In coordination with the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom to UNESCO and King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has last year given his okay for the establishment of Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Program for Enhancing the Culture of Dialogue and Peace in the UNESCO. The audience was attended by Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense; Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed , Minister of Education; Prince Meteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the State, Member of the Cabinet and Commander of the National Guard; Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Khalid Al-Sibaiti, Deputy Minister of Education; Norah Al-Fayez, Deputy Minister of Education for Girls Affairs; Dr. Hamad Al Al-Shiekh, Deputy Minister of Education for Boys Affairs and Dr. Ziad Al-Darees, Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to UNESCO.
