Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND), has announced AGFUND's donation of $100,000 in support of relief and humanitarian efforts for Syrian refugees in Turkey who fled their country to find refuge in the east Mediterranean country. In a statement on this occasion, he said this step comes within a campaign to raise funds in response to a call by Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan and a continuation of AGFUND's role and humanitarian positions in alleviating the sufferings of the affected. He added that he would transfer the money to the office of the Turkish Prime Minister through the Turkish embassy in Riyadh. For this, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz received Turkish ambassador to the Kingdom Ahmed Mukhtar Ghon. During the meeting, the President of AGFUND highlighted the efforts of his organization in providing the necessary assistance to the needy.
