Saudi Arabia participated yesterday in a ceremony held by UNICEF in coordination with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Sudan on the occasion of launching a campaign to eradicate polio in Sudan and the elimination of vitamin A deficiency. The ceremony was attended by senior officials who thanked the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for supporting this campaign to eradicate polio and eliminate vitamin A deficiency. At the end of the ceremony, the advisor at the Saudi embassy in Khartoum Suleiman bin Ali Albudair delivered the dose to the first child marking the beginning of this campaign.
