Afghan President Hamid Karzai says the long-term partnership agreement being negotiated with the United States should specify exactly how much money the U.S. will give to Afghan forces in coming years, AP reported. Karzai said Tuesday that the U.S. needs to go further than vague pledges to continue to fund the Afghan army and police. He says the U.S. has made verbal pledges of $4 billion a year. But he says he'd be willing to take less in return for a written commitment in the strategic partnership document to pay at least $2 billion annually.
