The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been classified in an advanced position along with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait and Qatar, on a list of the happiest peoples in the world, while other Arab countries were absent from the list. A World Happiness Report for 2012 included peoples of 50 countries and was published in Beirut. It said that Saudi Arabia ranked 26th, UAE 17th, Kuwait 29th, and Qatar 31st. The report quoted Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning as showing a year ago that the average of per capita income in Saudi Arabia amounted to SR 49,000 per annum. The report ranked Denmark 1st, Finland 2nd, Norway 3rd, Netherlands 4th, Canada 5th, Switzerland 6th, and Sweden 7th.
