The United Nations Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) condemned the killing of three journalists in Syria. In a press statement reported by the UN information center, the Director General of UNESCO Irina Bukova pointed out that two journalists of Algerian origins have been killed on March 23 along the border with Turkey, while a Syrian photographer of Kurdish origin has been killed, separately, in eastern Syria, a fact that spotlight the unacceptable and harsh price paid by journalists in their quest to carry out their professional duties towards Syria. Bokova asked Syria to guarantee the safety of journalists in action, investigate these crimes and bring the culprits to trial. -- SPA
