Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani said that the hard work being carried out by Joint Special Envoy of the United Nations and Arab League Kofi Annan on the Syrian crisis must be specified under a clear time-table, stressing that it is unacceptable to continue killings and repression at a time when the Syrian regime is talking to the joint peace envoy. Sheikh Hamad Al Thani said in his speech today in front of the 2nd Conference of the Friends of the Syrian people in Istanbul that the methods of the Syrian regime to buy time should not deceive anyone, pointing out that prolonging the Syrian crisis is neither in Syria's interest, nor in the interest of countries in the region nor the international community.
