Severe flooding in Fiji has left two people dead and at least five others missing. The Fiji Times reported Saturday that many people are stranded in homes and businesses in three townships in the west of the main island, Viti Levu. The Times says at least five people are missing after floodwaters began rising rapidly on Thursday. Authorities say the body of one man was recovered after his vehicle was swept away Friday by strong currents in Nadi township. The body of a second man was found in a creek in another western township, Ba. Authorities say 2,400 people have gone to evacuation centers, according to a report of the Associated Press.
