Turkey Closes Its Embassy Temporarily In Syria and Withdraws Its Ambassador

Turkey's Foreign Ministry announced today the temporary closure of Turkish Embassy in Damascus, Syria, and the withdrawal of its ambassador there due to the deteriorating security situation in Syria.
The Turkish "Anatolian" News Agency quoted Turkish diplomatic sources as saying that Turkey closed its embassy in Damascus today and withdrew its Ambassador Omar Ounhun and Turkish diplomatic staff, who are expected to arrive in Ankara soon.
