Russia launches rocket with US communications satellite

Russia on Sunday launched the Proton-M rocket carrying a US communications satellite, from the Baikonur space centre in Kazakhstan, a spokesman for the Russian space control centre told the Interfax news agency, according to dpa.
Intelsat-22 is intended to improve telecommunications capabilities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
