The President of the Republic of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza received here today Deputy Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Mohammed bin Amin Al-Jafri and his accompanying delegation, who are currently participating in the works of the 6th Conference of the Association of Senates, Shura Councils and Parliaments in Africa and Arab world. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Jafri conveyed to the President the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his best wishes for Burundi's progress and stability. On his part, the Burundian President expressed his thanks to the King and the Crown Prince for the contributions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through Saudi Fund for Development to many development programs in the Republic of Burundi. On the other hand, Dr. Al-Jafri met today with Burundi's Senate Speaker and 2nd Vice-President of the Republic of Burundi, Gabriel Ntisezerana, and they discussed ways of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
