Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, the General President of the General Commission for Meteorology and Protection of Environment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, underscored the importance of Islamic joint work in the field of environment, the enhancement of cooperation in solving the environmental problems, achievement of sustainable development and contribution to decision-taking and the Islamic nation's orientation. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Meeting of the Islamic Executive Bureau for Environment in Rabat, capital of Morocco, today, Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz noted that the agenda of the meeting cover a wide-range of issues of concern to the organization in preparation to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) scheduled for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 20-22 June 2012.
