Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai has renewed his calls for calm in a televised address to the nation after the burning of Holy Qurans at a U.S. base sparked five days of violent protests. About 30 people have been killed including four U.S. soldiers since the incident came to light Tuesday, the Associated Press reported. President Hamid Karzai spoke in a live television broadcast Sunday. Karzai said, "Now is the time to return to calm and not let our enemies use this situation." He reminded the Afghan people that the Quran burnings are being investigated and asked them to wait for the results of that investigation.
