Jordanian Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh met here today with EU ambassadors to Jordan and discussed Jordan's relations with the EU as well as a number of issues of common interest. During the meeting, the premier expressed appreciation of the European support for Jordan in the political, economic and social fields, adding that both sides are keen to forge closer cooperation in various fields. Talks during the meeting also dealt with the peace process and Jordan's efforts in this regard, mainly the exploratory meeting that was held in Amman between the Palestinians and Israelis to create an appropriate climate to resume direct negotiations between the two sides.
