Official Security Source Comments on a Politicized Friday Sermon by A Qatif-based Sheikh
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 20 - 02 - 2012

An official security source said today that the "politically-motivated" Friday sermon delivered by a Sheikh (clergy man) in the Saudi town of Al-Qatif in which the Sheikh commented on the recent sporadic confrontations between the security men and a misled minority in the province has contained numerous flagrant contrasts and strange subtractions.
While the Sheikh was saying that he deplores the violence committed by Qatif misled youths towards security men, however, he denies the State its legitimate right to face this aggression, ignoring, consequently, the fact that their behavior constitutes a new sort of terrorism led by a minority, the source added.
The source made it clear that the State has the right to confront this violence in the same way it had faced others before, without any regional or sectarian discrimination. Security men in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will deal resolutely and with an iron fist with such cases, had the situation aggravated, the way it did against previous cases of terrorism, he stated.
The preacher's comparison of what has taken place in some Qatif province villages with other incidents taking place in other neighboring countries that, ruthlessly, shed the blood of the innocents is baseless and unfounded, since the Saudi security forces have never committed aggression against anyone, rather they were in a case of legitimate self-defense and were behaving in accordance with the situation's imperatives, the source added.
The source explained that this minority was lured by foreign hands unpleased of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's honorable positions towards the Arab and Islamic nation. He added that such acts would never derail the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from its national duty against blood shedders and murderers of thousands of their country mates, a fact, deliberately, ignored by the preacher in his Friday Sermon.
The source called on the majority of wise people in Qatif Province, who would definitely not be appeased of this situation and inflicted by the harms of this brutal minor category to carry out their historical duty against this minority which is clandestinely motivated by foreign hands, benefit from the lessons of recent and ancient history and the experiences of different peoples which proved that they use such ignorant and young men as a fifth column that achieves their plots and alleviate the pressure mounted on them.
The official source concluded that Saudi security men are there everywhere in the country of Saudi Arabia to preserve security and peace and that they are doing their duties in a way that acquits them before their God Almighty and their leaders.
