A homemade bomb exploded in the Landi Kotal area of the northwestern Khyber tribal region, near the Afghanistan border, killing seven members of a pro-government tribal militia and critically wounding five, local government and security officials said. Meanwhile, Militants attacked a Pakistani military check post, killing a soldier and wounding three others, in the town of Wana in the South Waziristan tribal region, near the Afghanistan border, security officials were quoted as saying by Reuters.
