Russia will continue to support peaceful settlement efforts in Yemen that would stabilize the region, Russian official said on Thursday in Sana'a. The statement was made by Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department of Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Vershinin upon his departure after three-day visit to Yemen, Yemen News Agency (Saba) reported. During the visit, Vershinin held several meetings with Vice President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi, Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa and a number of representatives of the political parties in Yemen. The meetings dealt with several issues of cooperation between Yemen and Russia as well as the situation in the Middle East and North Africa region.
