Yemeni Vice President Abdu Rabbo Mansur Hadi asked Gulf countries sponsoring the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) initiative designed to find solution to the politcal crisis in Yemen, to contribute to making the forthcoming presidential elections in his county a success. At the outset of an address, ushering in the inauguration of the presidential campaign, he said Yemen has passed the most difficult days before heading to implement the GCC-sponsored initiative and its protocol. For his part, the Premier Mohammed Basunduwah asked the political forces to desist from mutual provocations and to cooperate, instead, in persuading the people to vote in the presidential elections due to be held on 21st of February 2012. -- SPA
