More than 200 people have been rescued from a coastal ferry that sank in Papua New Guinea, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said Thursday. According to dpa, the MV Rabaul Queen went down early Thursday with around 350 people aboard around 16 kilometers off Finschhafen in Morobe Province. The authority's Jo Mehan said eight rescue vessels were on the scene and 219 survivors had been taken aboard five of those vessels.
