The 4th Joint Ministerial Meeting for Strategic Dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States and Turkey at the level of Foreign Ministers was concluded here today. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting was led by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Current Chairman of the GCC Ministerial Council. In a speech delivered during the meeting, Prince Saud Al-Faisal hailed the role of the Republic of Turkey as effective and distinguished in supporting the just cause of the Palestinian people and its continued cooperation in addressing the issues of the region on a basis of wisdom, enhancing security and stability in accordance with the Arab perspective in addressing these issues and without interference in others' internal affairs. He also said that this meeting takes place amid critical regional and international circumstances and developments, starting with the question of the Middle East, the faltering peace process and through the developments witnessed in the Arab region in addition to the sectarian strife fueled by some Arab countries with support from abroad, to the Iranian nuclear crisis and its implications for safety and security of the region and the world as a whole. --More
