Assistant to Sudanese President Abdulrahman Al-Sadeq Al-Mahdi met here today a visiting Swedish delegation led by the Counselor to the Government for Horn African file Marika Whalen. Al-Mahdi asked the delegation to advise the leadership of South Sudan to opt for dialogue as an approach to tackle suspending issues and to ease tension between the two countries. The meeting has reviewed the current political situation in The Sudan, the transformations that have taken place since the secession of the South, signing of Darfur peace accord and the forming of a broad-based government. -- SPA
