British Islamic figures hailed the leading role played by Saudi Arabia in the service of pilgrims who flock to the two holy mosques and holy sites from each location every year, praising the expansions by government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the campus of Makkah, Prophet's Mosque in Medina and the holy sites. The Islamic figures, who voiced their remarks to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), were Chairman of King Fahd Chair in the University of London Professor Mohammad Abdelhalim; Secretary General of Ahl Al-Hadeeth Society (Believers in the speech and traditions of the Prophet) in Britain Sheikh Shuaib Ahmed Buri; the former Secretary General of Britain Muslim Council Sir Iqbal Sacranie, who also President of Assembly of Muslim Aid Islamic charity in Britain; and Director General of the Islamic Foundation and Markfield Institute for Islamic Studies in Leicester Dr. Monasser Ahssan.
