Speaker of the Jordanian House of Notables Taher Al-Masri received the Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, at his guest residence in Amman today. During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual concern to the two sides were discussed in addition to the latest important developments at the regional and international arenas. The firm bilateral relations binding the two kingdoms, including aspects of parliamentary cooperation between the two chambers, were also reviewed. Then Al Al-Sheikh was a guest at a banquet hosted by Al-Masri at the sports city in Amman to mark the visit. Dr. Al Al-Sheikh arrived in Amman earlier today. At Amman Civil airport, he was received by Al-Masri and senior officials. In a welcome statement, Al-Masri thanked Dr. Al Al-Shiekh and his accompanying delegation for accepting his invitation to visit their second country: Jordan, wishing them a good stay and the relations between the two countries further boost to the benefit of the two countries. He lauded the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to maintain the security and stability of the whole Arab region. "Saudi Arabia was always defending the Arab cause, financially, morally and politically to achieve progress and prosperity of its peoples. Now we welcome our dear brothers from Saudi Arabia at this juncture as we need to expose our reconciliation and cooperation to the world around us", he said. The meeting was attended by senior officials and Al-Al-Sheikh's accompanying delegation.
