The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has formed a taskforce that will work to develop tourism in Kuwait over a two-month period. The team will raise proposals and procedures required to raise the standard of tourism in the country, in preparation for a comprehensive law that supports the sector, Minister Amani Bouresly told KUNA (Kuwait News Agency). The ministry focuses on this sector as it looks to implement the nationwide development plan. Increased tourism in the country will also open the doors for further job opportunities for locals, the minister added. The team will complete a report on the classification of hotels and resorts, set standards for primary tourist sites, determine sales and marketing priorities and look to developing current products and offers.
