Arab states may ask the U.N. Security Council to adopt an Arab peace plan concerning the situation in Syria, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr al-Thani, Qatar's Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed. He told a news conference after a ministerial committee meeting held here today that Syria was delaying in its response to the peace plan presented by Arab states last month. Arab foreign ministers will discuss asking the U.N. Security Council to adopt the Arab peace proposal at a meeting in Cairo on Wednesday, he said.
