A South Korean Coast Guard commando was stabbed to death Monday while raiding a Chinese ship suspected of illegal fishing in the Yellow Sea, a coast guard spokesman said. The 41-year-old was reportedly attacked by a Chinese sailor with shards of glass during the raid 85 kilometres west of Socheong island, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported. A 33-year-old officer was being treated in an Incheon hospital for stomach wounds, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". The stabbings happened while the commandos were trying to take control of the fishing vessel. The coast guard said it seized the boat and arrested nine crew members.
