Indian Hospital Fire Toll Reaches 93 as Judicial Probe Ordered

The death toll in a devastating fire at a hospital in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata has risen to 93 after the deaths of two patients who were evacuated to other hospitals, dpa quoted news reports as saying today.
Both the patients, a middle-aged man and an elderly woman, died of cardiac arrest, the Hindu newspaper online reported.
They were among the more than 90 patients who were rescued from the Advanced Medicare and Research Institute (AMRI) hospital after the fire on Friday.
