U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has arrived in Athens for a two-day visit during which he will meet Greece's political leadership as the country faces an unprecedented financial crisis, according to AP. Biden was greeted at Athens International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister Theodoros Pangalos. On Monday, Biden will meet with Greek President Karolos Papoulias, Prime Minister Lucas Papademos and the leaders of the two major political parties backing Papademos' interim coalition government, former Prime Minister George Papandreou and leader of conservatives, Antonis Samaras. This will be Papademos' first meeting with a senior U.S. official since he was appointed last month to restart emergency loan payments and secure a massive new rescue deal from eurozone countries and the International Monetary Fund.
