Verizon To Pay $3.6 Billion For Wireless Spectrum

Verizon Wireless agreed to pay $3.6 billion to purchase wireless spectrum from cable-television companies Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and privately-held Bright House Networks.
Comcast will receive about $2.3 billion from the sale, Time Warner Cable will receive about $1.1 billion, and Bright House will receive $189 million, Verizon Wireless said Friday.
