Poland's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 4.2 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter, dpa cited the Central Statistical Office as saying Wednesday. The figure beat analysts' expectations of a 4 per cent growth, andwas a sign of continued growth of an economy relatively unaffected bythe eurozone crisis. "Poland's situation is still good and it's hard to talk about aslowing down of the economy," Marek Belka, head of Poland's NationalBank, told reporters. The growth of 4.2 per cent in the third quarter was slightly down, however, compared to 4.3 per cent in the second quarter.
