Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, the general supervisor of the Second Forum of Saudi Intellectuals, approved the new date for the Forum, which will begin on Monday, the first day of the month of Safar 1433 AH, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh and will continue its deliberations for four days. Preparations for the Forum have been finalized in line with directives by the Minister of Culture and Information; follow-up by Deputy Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Jasser and direct supervision by Undersecretary of the Ministry for Cultural Affairs and Deputy General Supervisor of the Forum Dr. Nasser Al-Hejailan. This was stated to Saudi Press Agency by Chairman of the Media Committee of the Forum Muhammad A'abis who added that the activities of the forum are comprehensive and diverse; deal with branches of cultural works and its important fields; and meet the wishes of intellectuals in debating key issues such as public libraries, international cultural relations and agreements, cultural centers, the role of women in culture and the culture of the children and festivals in addition to other activities of culture and arts.
