AlHijjah 29, 1432, Nov 25, 2011, SPA -- Russia's presidential election will take place on March 4, the lower house of parliament said on Friday. According to dpa, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is widely expected to win the vote, which will give him a six-year term at the Kremlin. Putin said in September that he would run for a third term as president and President Dmitry Medvedev, his protege, will serve as prime minister. A parliamentary election set for December 4 is widely expected to be won by Putin's United Russia party.
