AlHijjah 26, 1432, Nov 22, 2011, SPA - The Minister of Finance, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf has stressed the strength and durability of the Saudi economy. "Thanks to its financial and economic policies, the Saudi economy has managed to withstand the winds of financial crisis since it began in 2008 and continues (to do so) till today," Dr Al-Assaf said. He also pointed to the continuing growth of the Saudi economy at a time of shrinking economies of other major countries. In an address at the Energy Dialogue Forum-2011, organized by King Abdullah Center for Petroleum Studies and Research, here yesterday, Dr. Al-Assaf noted that the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the global economy has been fundamental and systematic. He disclosed that the Kingdom has been continuing its works thoroughly in cooperation with its partners in the Group of Twenty on one level and on an integral level with the International Monetary Fund and various other parties, and at the same time, the Kingdom does not neglect its regional and leading economic roles.
