AlHijjah 21, 1432, Nov 17, 2011, SPA -- Britain's Foreign Office today announced that Queen Elizabeth II of Britain has endorsed the appointment of British former ambassador to Egypt Dominic Asquith as the British new ambassador to Libya, replacing its current ambassador Sir John Jenkins who will be transferred to another diplomatic career. A statement issued by the Foreign Office said Asquith has served in a number of British diplomatic positions, including Washington, Buenos Aires, Baghdad, Muscat and the European Union.
