AlHijjah 18, 1432, Nov 14, 2011, SPA -- Majlis Al-Shura strongly condemned the gathering of a group of demonstrators in front of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Damascus, throwing stones at the Embassy, then storming the building and tamperting with its contents. At the outset of 60th ordinary session of Majlis Al-Shura presided over by its speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Majlis Al-Shura said that this attack is a violation of international norms of diplomatic missions. Majlis Al-Shura called upon the Syrian authorities to shoulder the responsibility for the security and protection of the Saudi embassy and employees in Syria and to punish all those who participated in the incident under international conventions and treaties. Then, Majlis Al-Shura discussed a number of topics listed on its agenda including the point of view of the committee of administration and human resources regarding members' opinions on the annual report of the Ministry of Civil Service for the fiscal year 1430/1431H. --More
