AlHijjah 17, 1432, Nov 13, 2011, SPA - Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev agreed on Saturday to consider enhancing their cooperation in defence and security in the Asia-Pacific region. "President Medvedev commented that he would like to strengthen cooperation with Japan in the field of security in Asia-Pacific," Japanese Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiroyuki Nagahama told reporters after the two leaders met at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Hawaii. "They agreed on promoting security discussion and defence dialogue," Nagahama was quoted as saying by Reuters.
