AlHijjah 11, 1432, Nov 7, 2011, SPA -- The White House on Monday welcomed a new consensus among Greek leaders to adopt austerity measures and said the next Greek government should quickly act to fulfill the conditions of a European Union (EU) rescue package. "We welcome the consensus that has been reached in Greece," spokesman Jay Carney told reporters, adding that the incoming government should take steps to implement commitments on the rescue plan "as quickly as possible."
