AlHijjah 8, 1432, Nov 4, 2011, SPA -- Major General Mansour Al-Turki, the Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, disclosed today that pilgrims who were found violating Hajj entry regulations and accordingly sent back will stand for investigation. In his daily briefing, Al-Turki said an increase of 1.84 percent in the number of pilgrims coming to the Kingdom from outside this year was registered. According to official statistics, their number reached 1,820,484 while Saudi pilgrims coming from inside the Kingdom amounted to 150,475 and foreign residents coming to Hajj from inside the Kingdom reached 63,495. More than 98,321 were sent back, he disclosed. For his part, the spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Khaled Marghalani reassured that so far no epidemic and quarantine diseases were reported.
