AlHijjah 8, 1432, Nov 4, 2011, SPA -- Germany would like to make another bid to host an Olympics despite Munich's defeat in its efforts to host the 2018 winter Games, dpa cited a leading politician as saying. "An Olympic Games in Germany is something we are striving for, and not in the next century but in the foreseeable future," Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich told a sports minister conference in Weimar. Munich failed in its bid to host the 2018 winter Games which the International Olympic Committee in July awarded to Pyeongchang, South Korea. Thomas Bach, president of the German Olympic sports movement, told dpa on Friday Germany would first wait to see who wins the right to host the 2020 summer Games before considering any new bid.
