AlHijjah 8, 1432, Nov 4, 2011, SPA -- France's European Affairs Minister Jean Leonetti said Friday that if Greece did not accept the eurozone's rescue plan, it would have to leave both the eurozone and the European Union, dpa reported. "To not accept the plan would be to leave the euro; for the Greeks to not accept the plan would be to leave Europe," Leonetti told Europe 1 radio, adding it was not an outcome he wished for. His remarks came a day after Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou abandoned his controversial proposal to put a rescue plan agreed by eurozone leaders last week to a referendum. The referendum proposal had caused consternation across Europe and topped the agenda of the first day of a Group of 20 summit in Cannes.
