AlHijjah 2, 1432, Oct 29, 2011, SPA - Several soldiers with the NATO-led forces in Afghanistan were killed in Kabul on Saturday when a suicide bomber in an explosives-laden vehicle attacked a military convoy, officials said. "A suicide bomber targeted the convoy of international military forces in Darulaman Square of Kabul city," police spokesman Hashmat Stanikzai was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA". "We have several ISAF service member casualties in the Kabul attack but we can't put a number on it," said Captain Christopher de Witt, a spokesman for NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). A DPA reporter at the site said three helicopters took the bodies of foreign soldiers from the site of explosion. Local television Tolonews said at least three foreign soldiers were killed in the attack, quoting Afghan officials. The NATO official said a limited number of Afghan civilians and members of the security forces had also been killed in the incident. Stanikzai also said there were Afghan casualties without giving any details. An official at the national Republic Hospital said it had received three injured civilians.
