AlHijjah 1, 1432, Oct 28, 2011, SPA -- Chancellor Angela Merkel urged Germans Friday to seek economic growth without heavy debt and told a business audience that drawing together closer in the European Union was key to the future, as dpa reported. Speaking a day after the end of an EU summit that forged new ways to beat the eurozone crisis, Merkel said, "If we don't draw together in the European Union, we won't have a chance against 1.3 billion Chinese, 1.2 billion Indians and many other regions." She was addressing a group of entrepreneur members of her own Christian Democratic (CDU/CSU) movement at Deggendorf in Bavaria state.
