AlQa'dah 25, 1432, Oct 23, 2011, SPA - Libya's parliamentary elections should take place within eight months, Mahmoud Jibril, the country's de facto prime minister and foreign affairs minister, said Saturday. Jibril said at the World Economic Forum in Jordan's Dead Sea resort that the new council will draft a new constitution. However, he said that the reconstruction of his country could turn out to be a difficult task, as challenges facing the National Transitional Council included "restoring stability, collecting vast amounts of arms and initiating the reconstruction process". "Libyans feel relieved and reborn, but the mission of rebuilding will be very hard," Jibril was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA".
