AlQa'dah 23, 1432, Oct 21, 2011, SPA -- Six policemen were killed and five injured Friday in an attack by Maoist rebels in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, news reports said. According to dpa, the incident took place in the forests of Bastar region, about 300 kilometers south of the state capital, Raipur. The rebels triggered blasts and ambushed a group of 16 policemen who were riding on eight motorbikes, the IANS news agency quoted additional director general of police Ram Niwas as saying. The rebels had damaged a portion of a forest department guest house in Netanar village in the Bastar forest on Thursday night. The police patrol were visiting the area to check out the incident.
