AlQa'dah 21, 1432, Oct 19, 2011, SPA -- US officials will meet with a North Korean delegation in Geneva next week to discuss its disputed nuclear programme in a bid to get Pyongyang to return to stalled multilateral talks, the State Department said Wednesday according to dpa. A US team will meet with a North Korean delegation led by FirstVice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan in Geneva on Monday and Tuesday. The meeting is the second bilateral round of talks between Washington and Pyongyang since July, when diplomats met in New York to urge a return to the so-called six-party talks that broke down in2008. North and South Korea have also held a series of recent talks.
