AlQa'dah 20, 1432, Oct 18, 2011, SPA - A small plane carrying 11 people has crashed in the Okavango Delta region of Botswana killing at least eight people, according to the Botswana civil aviation authority. The accident took place on Friday and occurred shortly after takeoff, the authority confirmed this morning, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA". Among the dead were seven tourists and the pilot, all believed to hold various European passports. The survivors included two people from Botswana and a European. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
