AlQa'dah 18, 1432, Oct 16, 2011, SPA - Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region, patronized here yesterday evening the opening ceremony of the building of Jeddah Radio Complex. The ceremony was attended by Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah, and the Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja. Upon his arrival at the venue, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal toured the building including radio studios and administrative offices. Addressing the ceremony, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Radio Affairs Ibrahim Al-Saqou'b, commended the efforts exerted by Dr. Khoja for the establishment of this project that will be followed by a number of similar projects in other cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for Information Affairs and General Supervisor of Engineering Affairs, Dr. Riyadh Najm, said that the total costs of the Project amounted to SR 130 million and it is located on an area of 14,000 square meters, noting that the Project is one of a series of achievements witnessed by the Ministry of Culture and Information in the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
