AlQa'dah 16, 1432, Oct 14, 2011, SPA -- At least four alleged militants were killed Friday when a US drone targeted a compound in Pakistan's troubled north-western tribal region along the Afghan border, security officials said. According to dpa, the strike was carried out at Shehzada Kot area near Miranshah, a town in North Waziristan which is one of seven tribal districts and the stronghold of the Haqqani militant network accused by the US of carrying out attacks in Afghanistan. A security official said that two missiles were fired which killed four militants. "All four were associated to the Haqqani network," he said on condition of anonymity. Another security official confirmed the death toll but said that the militants were in a car when hit by missiles.
