AlQa'dah 15, 1432, Oct 13, 2011, SPA -- A plane carrying 32 passengers crashed in Papua New Guinea on Thursday killing some of those on board, according to dpa. The twin-engined Airlines PNG Dash 8 turboprop went down on a scheduled flight from Lae to Madang, Australia's national broadcaster ABC reported from Port Moresby. The Accident Investigation Commission chief Sid O'Toole told the ABC that the plane went down over land about 20 kilometres south of Madang, on the northern coast. "There were reports of fire and there have been some fatalities," he said, noting that there were also survivors.
